Since most of the map is pretty self-explanatory, I'll focus on the "Static Training Room".
If anyone has a section of the map that is not part of the STR that they want explained, then just let me know.
The way I'll do this, is that I'll first post a screenshot of the part I'm explaining, then add the explanation under the picture.
First Room
The purpose of this, is to train Poke. The method of using this particular exercise is to hit the target, without hitting the surrounding wall. When you can successfully do this with the largest target, you move on to the next, smaller, one. Rinse and repeat, until you are able to successfully keep your saber inside the smallest target, for the duration of your swing, without hitting the surrounding wall.
The purpose of this one, is to familiarize yourself with the range of your swings, and to maximize your ability to use that range(primarily with poke).
This is done while standing stationary in front of the target.
This one is the same general exercise as the one above, this one however is the next step, where you do the exercise while moving around, inside the outer circle.
Both this one, and the above exercise, will tell you(via text on the screen) if you have moved too close, at which point you should stop, and restart the exercise.
This one is the same as above, but instead of a simple pole that makes noise when hit, the center starts out empty(allowing for a trainer or training partner to enter), with the possibility of spawning a bot.
This lets you see actual progress in your exercise(it's extremely satisfying to see the bot die, after you've gotten frustrated with the former two).
The purpose of this one is to train your aim.
The way you use it, is that you stand in the center, then jump(bunny-hop) and hit the individual targets, then return to the center.
This one is, again, for the purpose of training Poke.
The way you do it, is that you stand behind the line and try to hit the pole standing across from you(on the other side of the line), without hitting the two poles beside you. If you hit the side-poles, they disappear for a moment, indicating a failure.
Here, we have my personal favorite. The purpose of this one, is to train your footwork.
The method of using it is quite simple, you start from one end, then you run zig-zag between the poles to the other end, without hitting any of the poles.
If you do hit one of the poles, you are teleported out of the exercise area(onto the yellow brick/stone path next to it), and you have to start over.
Basic Footwork & Movements - Chamber of Patterns
The way to do this one: You start on the left side(on the small up-left diagonal string) and move along the line. You swing your saber, so that your swing would hit the target as you reach the top of the bow.
When you think you have the basic gist of it, there is a button to spawn a bot, so you can test it.
How to do this one: You move left and right, along the horizontal line. Then you start your swing.
You then move quickly, forward along the line in the center, and immediately move back to the horizontal line again, to continue moving left-right.
The goal is to have your swing hit the target, in the exact moment that you reach the top/end of your forward movement.
As with the other exercise, a bot can be spawned once you think you've got it.
These two are essentially the same exercise.
You move along the lines(V or triangle) and swing, so that you hit your targets when you enter the red circles.
As with the others, bots can be spawned.
These two are essentially the same as the two above. You move along the red lines, and hit your targets as you enter the red circles. Unlike the others, bots can not be spawned.
This one is deceptively simple, and for the purpose of training footwork.
All you have to do, is walk/run along the red line, all the way to the end, without stepping off the line, and without pausing(once you start, you don't stop until you reach the end).
It's harder than it sounds. And if you step off the line, you start over.
Advanced Footwork & Movements
This one is, again, deceptively simple.
The purpose is to train your awareness, speed, and aim.
What you do, is that you have to kill all 5 bots. But you are only allowed to hit the one with the red arrow above it.
I know there are some I haven't explained here. That is because 1. they are self-explanatory. or 2. I don't remember(or never knew) the purpose(there's only 2-3 of these).
Hope this helps with your training
