All readers, please fasten your seat belts and make sure all cellular devices are off, I present to you a post of flight school 101 in JKA! Well, I say flight school, but this will also include speeders, tauntauns, and other "vehicles."
To start us off, I'm going to list the type of vehicles and give a little information on each of him.
X-Wing: This is the standard fighter. It comes equipped with four blaster cannons and a rocket that can switch between free aim and locked on. The primary blasters can toggled to quad-fire or individual fire mode as well. This ship is, by far, the most durable against all types of damage.
z95 Headhunter: A bit less durable than the X-Wing, the z95 is the fastest ship in the game. While its fire power is reduced, and its rockets do not have lock on capabilities, its speed generally makes up for its other failings.
TIE Fighter: While this is the weakest ship in the game (seriously, if you bump into it, it'll shatter), the TIE fighter is the most maneuverable ship there is. It's turns are tight and fast, and it has an incredibly quick firing rate. The biggest downsides are its lack of armor, and the fact that it only has blasters to fire with, no missile capacity.
TIE Bomber: The most lethal, yet slowest ship there is. The primary weapon of this large, bulky ship is rocket after rocket. It's armor is decent enough to sustain some hits, but it is by far the slowest aircraft of all. It makes up for this in its sheer fire power.
Speeder: A non-air vehicle, this is the fastest way to move on the ground. It comes equipped with a speed boost you can use, and you can attack with a lightsaber from either side of the speeder.
AT-ST: Chicken walker! These are large ground vehicles with missiles and heavy cannons. If they step on you, you instantly die.
Riding Beasts: Tauntauns, sometimes wampas, and sometimes rancors, can all be ridden. These all share the same attributes as a speeder, with the exception of the fact that they are sufficiently slower (based on the beast's moving speed). However, a tauntaun still has a type of speed boost where the others do not.
Now... Onto extra information about vehicles!
Vehicle Glitches: There are a number of vehicle-associated glitches to note when using them. Below is a list of ones with how to prevent/fix them.
-Ship control loss: Sometimes, when you first take off with a ship, it will begin to act glitchy and you will have very little control of it. This can be fixed by landing and taking off again until it resets. To my knowledge, a way to prevent the glitching (to some degree) is to hold the S key while initially taking off.
-Screen spazzing: With riding mounts (tauntauns, speeders, etc.) other people in the server may begin to experience extreme screen glitching for reasons unknown. The only way to fix that is for the person riding it to dismount.
-Remote glitch: After using any type of vehicle, you may find a remote hovering around your head for seemingly no reason. For reasons I honestly cannot explain, this will cause glitching of the screen when you attempt to jump, or for that matter, most actions you attempt to do. It may also cause your saber to be invisible on your screen. To fix this, you have to reconnect to the server.
Vehicle Strafing: While not all vehicles can be strafed, it is confirmed that the speeder bike and tauntauns can be, strange as it might sound. A vehicle that is strafed properly gains incredible speeds.
Flight - 1.01 vs 1.00: In 1.00, the camera tilts when you turn the mouse a certain direction, and your ship will turn to go that way. In 1.01, the camera is free to turn all around and look anywhere it wants. The ship will still attempt to follow, but the camera is not locked to watching in front of you.
More information may be added in the near future! Planning to update with: Vehicle HUD explanation, pictures, and more!
