Oh oh look. A post about water. Man, everything in this game has an exploit, doesn't it?
Okay well, what is it?
Glad you asked! The water glitch is just a fancy way of going REALLY high, and very helpful for travel across loooong gaps with a ton of water at the bottom. It'll probably never get used much for any practical purposes, however, to complete several courses in things like Trick Arena and Apocalypse's water challenge, you'd need to know how it works. You also may want to impress your friends with magical water, or just feel like a boss because you can do this. Perhaps this is totally useless to you because you're just a fighter, and if that's the case, you can stop reading because I'm going to keep on typing anyway!
How it's Done:
Honestly it's very easy. So easy that this may end up being one of the shortest database entries I've made. Here's the two-step equation:
Step 1: Hold space (jump). Just hold it. Never let go. Ever. If you release space at any point, it will stop working.
Step 2: Direct yourself over the water, fall into it, and keep on holding space to go back up out of the water and to the stars.
Basically, the game takes the total distance from where you jumped from and sends you back up to it, then adds a jump on top of that at the end, essentially as if you never fell. Water physics are super weird like that. Of course, you need deep enough water. I'm not quite sure as of yet how far down into the water you go on landing, but I'd presume at least half as deep under water as the total fall distance. Someone please comment if you know.*
Know something I don't? Spout it below!
(Yes, that was a clever but horrible pun, I admit)
